Where two parties separate by divorce or de-facto arrangement a valuation can help relieve possible disputes regarding current property values.
Each party is free to ascertain their own valuation however some choose to instruct one Valuer to act on behalf of both parties (Single Expert Witness). When choosing a Valuer there are some important points to consider:
- Aim to use those Valuers with real Court experience;
- Aim to use those that will be there for you when you need them. ie, they understand the process of without prejudice conferences and the court process;
- Our valuations provide ‘long form’ reporting which is inclusive of at least 5 or 6 comparable sales and where possible vacant land sales that underpin the summation approach.
